Day 7 Lodeve to Le Bousquet d'Orb - 32 kms

What a fabulous sun-shiny day today - and difficult. We started the day climbing way up high. And we walked along the top for much of the day. The wind was unbelievable!  If we hadn't had our packs on, I wonder if we might have been blown off the mountain. And the up and then steep down on rocky paths was tricky - but nothing could take away from this shiny day.

Fabulous gite tonight  - a petite Maison just for four. Lovely Mme Roselyne will prepare PDJ (the French abbreviation for petit dejeuner) for tomorrow and we will buy baguette sandwiches from the boulangerie in the morning. We have a difficult day tomorrow, with no opportunity for food or water until tomorrow night's village. That's why we walked an extra few kilometres today. We could have stopped at Lunas about 4 kms earlier but wanted to get a head start on tomorrow.

The last photo tonight is the village we are staying in - and the mountain behind is our first of six ascents tomorrow. Yikes.

The fist photos are of some of our dishes from great restaurant in Lodeve last night. The food was excellent. But way too much. Four of our group ordered the dessert plate pictured - cafe gourmand. I'm glad to say I wasn't one of the four, and neither was Domi. Ours were bad enough!

Et demain, nous marchons. And tomorrow, we walk.
