After a great night's sleep - certainly our most restful night since Arles - we enjoyed petit dejeuener with lovely Charlotte, and then she bid us Bon Chemin around 9am. Domi and I set off full of energy and looking forward to another day unfolding, this time under sunny skies.
Today, was just magical - not that anything special happened. Perfect temperature - warmer, but still cool enough for waking - a few challenges on the path, small streams and rivers to cross thanks to the rain of the past few days, horses in green paddocks, flowers beginning to bloom. And a visit to a priory - Prieure Saint-Michel-de-Grandmont. I will post some pictures of that separately.
We covered just 15 kms to Lodeve - we took our time and arrived at around 2.30 and checked into our little hotel. Shower, wash 'smalls', charge camera, walk around the town, I write my blog, Domi writes his diary, we start looking at tomorrow, where we plan to walk to, accommodation options - and enjoy an aperitif. The usual routine - not necessarily in that order. It's really not too tough at all!
Ok, Martine and Guy have arrived. Not long til dinner (I'm always hungry!). Time to sign off.
Lovely to hear from our friends Martin, Rosanne and Sue - thank you for your messages. And from Jan, with a gorgeous photo of Zaccy boy. Thanks to all who are looking out for him. We miss him!!
As The French says, 'Et demain, nous marchons.' 'And tomorrow, we walk.'
