Day 21 Gite de Lamothe (avant L'isle-Arne) to Gite La Croisee de St Cricq (avant Auch) 20 kms

A rainy day on The Way, a bit of up and down, but not a long distance. Just as well. We walked mainly through farmland and bush. On a fine day, it would have been an easy walk. Today it was muddy and slippery, with every step requiring attention. But happily no mishaps, other than the mud on our shoes and bottom of our pants, and we are how happily ensconced in the rural gite of Christine and Marco. They are tres gentil. It's very relaxing here.

Domi and I are showered and all our clothes are being washed! Not just today's muddy pants but everything we are not wearing. How exciting. Even though the path may be muddy again tomorrow, it feels nice to know all our clothes are clean, at least for now. Just Domi and I so far - two more pilgrims are arriving some time today. Christine and Marco take a maximum of five. We are not in a separate gite accommodation - we are guests in their home, sitting in front of an enormous fireplace as I write this update and Domi writes his diary, enjoying a glass of vin rouge! Quelle vie!

Not too many photos from today, due to the rain and slippery path. But some from yesterday's farm gite, de Lamothe, including our lovely host Martine and Callie, the collie.

Signing off early to answer a few emails ...
